APRIL IS MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH MONTH

SERGEANT’S SESSION raised $99.70.
TWO MINUTE TALK – Charlie Fergus
Charlie talked about and showed interesting objects that Fulton Hogan has excavated from jobs in the district over a period of time.

Mike who is a career
As well as Shelter Boxes they also provide Shelter Kits which have tarps and tools to help people repair their shelters. Costs of the shelters $US1500 and $US50 for a kit. Concepts of the kits and boxes are evolving with items like solar powered lights now being included.
To date they have responded to over 300 natural disasters and conflicts in 100 countries and their aim is to help 1 million people every year by 2050.

Please note these arrangements: If you are rostered on for a duty but find you are unavailable it is your responsibility to arrange a replacement for yourself. Once this is done, email Stephen Randal at firstname.lastname@example.org and advise him of the change. Note: most duties require attendance at 5.30pm. Your duty may involve the use of equipment; you must put it away at the end of the meeting.

Our club’s Rotary Foundation donation is now $2860.00, still short of last year’s total, but there is still time to donate. See Peter Reed.
Lucknow School’s Robotic Team (the Blackbots) is holding a fund-raising event to raise funds for their trip to LA. A Lego Brick Show Exhibition will be held at Karamu High School Hall from 9 am to 5 pm on 13 April. $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children (under 3 – free) The Blackbots Team will be there with a robot so people will be able to see what the robotics business is all about. Great for the grand kids and big kids.
Good save by Dale when he was showing his son the kids free library when he removed a book from the library that had just been set alight.
Next week Lyn Hann will hand out sheets with jobs for the Country2Coast.
