ZOOM MEETING HELD 8th JUNE
Attendance 26 members with two recorded apologies, Scott Henderson and Karen Tobeck.
Unfortunately our guest speaker Grant Thompson was unwell and unable to participate so members went into Club Assembly as planned.
President Peter gave a brief Board Report on the decisions made at the last Board meeting.
The following donations were approved:
Cranford Hospice $1000.00
Shelter Box $400.00
Big Brother Big Sister $3000.00
Leg Up Trust $3000.00
Physical meetings in the Function Centre will restart with Changeover on Monday 6 July. This will be a partner’s night.
The District Governor’s Changeover will be held in the Havelock North Function Centre on Sunday 26 July. This is a lunchtime meeting and members are asked to make a special effort to attend this in support of our incoming District Governor Grant Spackman
Budget Secretary Peter Reed presented the budget for 20/21 and recommended that the annual subscription remain unchanged at $245.00 per member. This was approved.
Some discussion was held over the need to retain our PO Box and it was agreed to hold this and other budget matters over until the next Club Assembly.
A proposal to levy members $40.00 to help recover a forecast deficit for this year was approved. Members can pay this from their meal credits if they have automatic payments. Others will be invoiced.

All nominations were accepted and approved.
Trish mentioned a couple of minor changes she will make to the meeting format next year
1. a Toast at the start of the meeting and
2. a Parting Thought at the end of the meeting.
Strategic Plan. A five year plan prepared by the board was tabled by President Peter. Following a brief discussion the following points were raised for further consideration; to retain fireside meetings and to survey membership a couple of times during the year to measure the progress of the plan’s goals.
President Peter said that this is a working document and members could raise issues or changes by 22 June so that the plan could be approved by the Board before the end of this Rotary Year.
