GUEST SPEAKER – Cardiologist Dr Miles Williams – Miles (pictured above) discussed the principals and safeguards of the upcoming End of Life Choice Act 2019 referendum included with the General Election on September 19, 2020. After the informative presentation, there was a lively question and answer session and I believe we all left with a greater understanding of the Act…

Annual Citrus Drive – Ahururi Club
Simply gather, pick and deliver your surplus citrus fruit to the collection points conveniently located at BP Clive. BP Greenmeadows, BP Carlyle Street, Mobile Garage Bay View, Mobil Taradale Road, Caltex Hydrabad Road (Napier), Caltex Taradale and Nichols Glass Greenmeadows. We are collecting until the 31st of August- thank you very much for your help!
“I wonder if anyone who has surplus would like to bring it to Rotary either next week or the week after and then only one delivery into Napier is required.”

Volunteers required
The Cancer Society is again organising their annual Daffodil Day fund raiser on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th August. Havelock North Rotary have been asked if they can help provide collectors at Hastings New World from 8am to 6pm, 2 hours shifts 2 people each shift. If you are able to help email Jessica with the time that suits.

The number of guests attending or apologies must reach Ian Ellengold phone 878 8652 or email before 10 pm Sunday. Please also note that if you’re bringing a partner or other guest you also need to notify the attendance officer, to enable our caterers to prepare the correct number of meals.

Please note these arrangements: If you are rostered on for duty but find you are unavailable it is your responsibility to arrange a replacement for yourself. Once this is done, email Stephen Randal at  and advise him of the change.
