The Christmas Function
As with last year, our club has decided to support the Hastings District Street Appeal by donating gifts. Jo Reyngould on behalf of the Baptist Church will speak to us on the night of our Christmas Function and we will hand over our gifts to her.
Can you please bring along a suitable gift for either an infant 0-12 months or a child up to 14 years of age, or mums and dads. This year support is going to 550 families (340 living in Decile 9 and 10) i.e. 2150 individuals, 1102 of are under the age of 14.
Gifts may be wrapped or in a bag but should have the gender and suggested age group of an adult male, adult female written on them. They are sorted and then re-wrapped to meet the family need.
Please either bring them along next week or on the night of our Christmas Function on 9 December.
Thank you
Trish
Rotary Raffle
A very good day on Saturday with 99 books sold and $1,053 to be banked ( last year $981 banked). It was a good week with 60 books sold at Countdown and 40 books sold at Havelock North New World.
To date, we have sold 972 books & banked $10,514 – 83% of books (Last year for the same number of selling days we had sold 1,015 books & banked $10,876).
195 books to go and 6 selling days booked – we sold our first book thru the internet – well done David Norrie.
